While the Eternity game launch in Australia and Vietnam saw positive feedback, the SHIBArmy feels Eternity is a Shibarium distraction and refers to the game as “child’s play.”
Shiba EternityÂ
The development of Shiba Eternity was to enhance the Shiba ecosystem. The ecosystem consists of their DEX ShibaSwap, their decentralized exchange, and Shiboshis, an NFT. It also includes the Shiba Inu Rescue Association (a fundraising campaign), the BONE governance token, and a liquidity pool. All of these are meant to distance Shiba Inu from their meme coin moniker.
The game is a canine form of Pokemon, a card battle game. There are currently two versions of the game, the mobile app and the NFT version, where players battle with Shiboshi NFTs. The Sensei, Ryoshi, explains how to play the game and offers words of encouragement as the players do well in battle.
A Child’s Gaming Distraction
The game has a martial arts flavor with the ultimate goal of earning your own Shiboshi. The game uses weapon and attack cards to progress and establish a winner. The Shiboshi has dormant powers and offers PURE FOMO transformations. Shiboshis acquire playing styles and abilities as they train in various martial arts (Chewjitsu being one of them.) Winning the game earns the player XP points that buy other cards for the game.
Kusama touts the game as play to earn, but that feature has yet to be revealed. Many Shiba holders feel they are too old to play this “child’s game” and have called it a “marketing stunt” and distraction from the Shibirium launch that has yet to happen.
So far, the only positive result of the game’s release as an app on IOS and Android is the 5% burn of all profits, ultimately increasing the coin’s value. Shytoshi Kusama said in a tweet in September that out of 1 quadrillion tokens, the burn is only 410,372,670,567,871 so far.
The announcement of the Shiba Eternity on October 6th increases the Shiba Inu price by 1.7%. Following the launch, SHIB has an all-time high of 2,194,290 coin holders.

Shibarium is coming
Explaining ShibariumÂ
In a tweet, the creator of $SHIB Ryoshi said, “Shibarium would not be a new blockchain, but a layer over Ethereum. He later chose to delete the tweet.
The expectation is Shibarium will lower Shiba community transaction fees. As a layer-2 solution, it will allow holders to burn SHIB (removing tokens from circulation to increase the coin’s demand.) There is also the possibility of bridging other ecosystems.
Recently the SHIB burn rate hit 1720%. Since the beginning of October, the SHIB burn is 32,584,180. But, 32,584.180 SHIB in a sole transaction went to a dead wallet (an address that was dead for years.)

Burning $SHIB is a perk of the game
What happened to Shibarium?
Kusama sent a string of tweets hinting that Shibarium would launch in the 3rd quarter of 2022. The launch date came and went with no Shibarium. This did not go without notice by the SHIB community, expecting the release of the layer-2 solution to increase the coin’s value. Kusama’s answer to the questions from holders tweeting their exasperation was “One thing at a time.” He also gave a hint to a user guide release for the Shiba Eternity. The reply angered the community, even more, replying that they are too old to play the game and want better security. Kusama’s reply was a “soon” tweet which essentially blew off the community’s concerns. Shytoshi said in a tweet yesterday that the 1100-page player’s guide would drop on November 2nd, and his focus would now be Shibarium.
The developer of Shibarium, Unification, has been very close-mouthed about the launch. But they did offer that they would be beta testing Shibirium in this year’s 3rd quarter. Since that did not happen, the SHIBArmy feels Eternity is a Shibarium distraction, and rightly so.
The future of Shiba Eternity and SHIB: The Metaverse
Shiba Inu’s future is unsurprisingly tied to the Metaverse. SHIB: The Metaverse offers games, and 100, 595 land plots. The first 36,431 plots could only be bought using ETH (during the BID and HOLDER events,) with prices falling between 0.2 to 1.0 ETH. Once the plots were on public sale, they could be bought using ETH or SHIB. After the BID and Holder Events, only 50% of the plots were still available and will be on sale until they are gone.
The future of the plots (and Shiba Inu) as passive income, generating rewards and in-game resources, isn’t known. Nor has the use of Shiba Eternity and how it will tie into the Metaverse.
The SHIB community waits with bated breath for Shibarium and the value it will bring to Shiba Inu. While the layer-2 solution is not a tie to Shiba Eternity, the SHIBArmy feels Eternity is a Shibarium distraction. This distraction costing Shiba Inu about 10% in the last several weeks.
Kusama’s dismissal of the community’s concerns has holders wondering if the future of $SHIB has gone to the dogs!
